All college convocations, all special interest convocation events and both University Commencement events require an RSVP for participation. Please contact the dean's office of your college to ask about the RSVP policy for your college convocation event. For information about special interest convocations, please contact the University Ceremonies Office.
University Commencement for Undergraduate Students will be held Wednesday, May 14, 7:30 pm on Frank Kush Field in Sun Devil Stadium.
Attending University Commencement May 2014: Undergraduate candidates will enter through the north gates of Sun Devil Stadium. Volunteers will be on hand to assist you in finding your seat. Plan to arrive no later than 7:00 pm to be seated with graduates from your college.
Tickets are NOT required for events held in Sun Devil Stadium for May 2014 Undergraduate Commencement. Tickets will be required for other ceremonies. To view the ceremony schedule and to confirm which events require tickets please visit the Spring 2014 ceremony page. May 2014 graduates must apply and pay their graduations fees in order to have the RSVP link for graduation ceremonies placed on your My ASU page. Tickets are required for some graduation events. This information will appear in more detail on the RSVP page.
Summer 2014 Graduates: Undergraduate degree candidates who will complete degree requirements in August of 2014, may participate in May ceremonies. Candidates must apply for graduation as a summer graduate and pay your fees in order to have the RSVP link appear on your My ASU page. This will allow you to RSVP for spring ceremonies. Your name will appear with the listing of students who completed degree requirements in August 2014 in the December 2014 Commencement program.

Summa Cum Laude = Maroon and Gold, 3.80 to 4.00 GPA
Magna Cum Laude = Gold, 3.60 to 3.79 GPA
Cum Laude = Maroon, 3.40 to 3.59 GPA
Academic recognition is granted to undergraduate candidates only. Students must complete 56 or more hours of in-resident work at ASU's Tempe, Polytechnic and Downtown Phoenix campuses in addition to having the appropriate grade point average. ASU West campus undergraduate candidates enrolled prior to the 2007/2008 catalog must complete 50 hours or more of resident credit. These students will be awarded honor cords to be worn during the commencement ceremony. Your current GPA as verified at the time you request your honor cords will determine which cords you are given. Your diploma and transcripts will reflect the appropriate recognition based on all course work completed at ASU, including courses completed in your final semester.
