Due to the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus and the public health recommendations that come with it, Arizona State University will be celebrating with its graduates in the 2020 Fall University Commencement and convocation events in virtual, online ceremonies. The format may be different, but our enthusiasm for celebration has never been more inspired and we encourage you to join us in honoring ASU graduate and undergraduate students on Monday, December 14. Planning is underway. For more details, please check back here for updates and additional information about online activities. Commencement FAQ page
Letter of Congratulations
From President Crow
Congratulations on the completion of your degree program at Arizona State University. You deserve to be very proud of this significant academic achievement.
I invite you, your family and friends to celebrate your accomplishment at University Commencement Ceremony, college and school celebrations which will be held virtually for December of 2020. Graduates will have a chance to personalize their announcement slide with a photo and personal message. Information with details about this process will be sent to graduating students to their asu.edu accounts.
Commencement is a special celebration, with tradition and symbolism that date back centuries in the history of higher education. This is the occasion when your degree will be officially conferred upon you. Students, faculty and staff from all colleges and all ASU campuses participate in University Commencement. Please plan to join the Arizona State University community as we celebrate our graduates and those who have supported them on their journey.
If you have questions regarding commencement or other graduation activities, please contact the Office of University Ceremonies. Again, congratulations.
Michael M. Crow
