Registration for Fall 2026 ceremonies opens the week of October 5, 2026
Graduating students who wish to participate in graduation ceremonies and celebrations must register. All ASU graduation ceremonies and celebrations require registration.
Only working staff, graduating students and authorized personnel are allowed in the graduate and staff entry points, or on the floor or field near graduate seating and the stage. This restriction applies to Gammage Auditorium, Desert Financial Arena, Mountain America Stadium or other event venues.
Graduation ceremonies include:
- Graduate Commencement
- Undergraduate Commencement
- College Convocations
- Special Interest Celebrations
A registration submitted by the deadline of Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

Registration deadline
Ceremony registration for Spring 2026 will close on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.
Applying to graduate vs. Registering for a ceremony
Applying for graduation and registering to attend in-person graduation ceremonies are separate but related issues. Applying and paying your graduation fee ensures that your degree will be processed after coursework is complete and certification of your degree is issued. Registering to attend ceremonies ensures seating will be available for you and your guests for the event(s) you attend. It also ensures tickets will be reserved for those events that require tickets.
Graduation Ceremony Eligibility Policy
ASU Commencement and college convocation ceremonies are reserved exclusively for degree-seeking students completing associate, baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral degrees. Because non-degree certificate offerings do not confer a formal university degree, certificate earners are not eligible to participate in ASU Commencement or college convocation ceremonies.
We appreciate your commitment to continuing your education with ASU and extending your professional skills. For specific questions regarding the delivery date or format of your certificate or credential, please contact your program administration team.
Summer graduates
Graduates completing coursework in August can opt to participate in ceremonies in May before course completion or in December following course completion.
